Colorado Parks and Wildlife was created in 2011 by the merger of Colorado State Parks and the Colorado Division of Wildlife, two nationally recognized leaders in conservation, outdoor recreation and wildlife management.
As part of the merger legislation, the Legislature required Colorado Parks and Wildlife to develop a five-year plan that addresses issues facing the agency, identifies efficiencies and cost savings resulting from the merger. This plan, which we are calling the Path Forward, is due to the Legislature in December 2013.
The Path Forward is being built upon a variety of current and recent planning activities at Colorado Parks and Wildlife, along with data and input from park visitors, hunters, anglers, landowners, and other interested Coloradans.
For more information on the Path Forward, contact Brian Kurzel at firstname.lastname@example.org or (303) 291-7209. Please submit your comments as early as possible, ideally by October 22nd, but no later than October 29th.
