Regional hunt guides are produced annually and contain valuable information for planning a big game hunt. Updated guides typically arrive around July 1. These booklets provide harvest statistics, herd estimates, directories and some great hunting tips. Hunters will also find useful information on terrain and weather for the units.

The guides include important phone numbers and websites for state and federal offices, guides and outfitters, and road and weather conditions. Plus, there’s important information about how to prepare in case of an emergency.

A limited number are printed annually. To meet the growing demand, the Division of Wildlife makes the guides available on the Internet.

Hunters can obtain printed versions of the guides by contacting the appropriate public information professional.
