The Hunter Outreach Program offers clinics and seminars throughout the year to give novice and experienced hunters alike opportunities to improve upon hunting skills, practices, and techniques. Past seminars and clinics have covered elk, waterfowl, grouse, and turkey hunting!
These clinics and seminars are informative and educational, featuring experienced guest speakers and CPW experts, and they offer a setting in which to meet others who share similar interests and goals.
Denver Whitehorse SWA Youth Goose Hunting Orientation
. December 17. 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Hunter Education Building at the Colorado Parks and Wildlife office. 6060 Broadway, Denver CO 80216. Whitehorse State Wildlife Area offers goose hunting for youth hunters and their mentor(s). Interested youth hunters and their mentor(s) must attend one of the listed orientations in order to make reservations to hunt on the property. Please note that this is not a goose hunting seminar and hunting tips and techniques are not covered. If you are interested in hunting Whitehorse but are new to goose hunting consider attending a waterfowl or goose hunting seminar.
Colorado Springs Duck Hunting 101 Clinic. December 18, 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Hunter Education classroom at the CPW office. 4255 Sinton Rd, Colorado Springs. The class is free, but space is limited so participants should RSVP. The clinic provides waterfowl hunters an opportunity to learn about hunting regulations, duck identification and hunting tactics - all with the goal of increasing duck hunting success. The class size is limited to 50. Hunters interested in attending should RSVP by calling 719-227-5200.
