970/382-5392 Open to the public from 9 am until 8 pm (Daylight Savings Time), and 10 am until 5 pm (Mountain Standard Time), 7 days a week except for December-March when the range is closed completely. Benches and targets for pistol and rifle shooting at 15, 25, 50, 75 and 100 yards. Area for shooting clay pigeons, bring your own throwers and targets.

Four Corners Rifle and Pistol Club One mile east of Cortez on Highway 160 970/882-2636 Largest range in southwestern Colorado. Offers both rifle and pistol shooting, up to 300 yards. Open to the public 3 days prior to each rifle hunting season. Membership dues are $25 a year or $5 per rifle sight-in.

970/641-0618 Pistol and 300-yard rifle range open to the public Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays prior to opening of big game seasons. The fee on Thursday and Friday is $5 per gun; Wednesday's fee is by donation. The public is welcome at trap range shoots during the summer months.
Gunnison State Wildlife Area Archery Range About six miles west of Gunnison and north of Highway 50 970/641-7060 (CPW's Gunnison office.)

Archery-only range along Beaver Creek (in the creek bottom) with parking about 200 yards to the west off the main road into the wildlife area. The range is open late spring, summer and early fall and is closed to protect winter range from December 1st through March 31st.

Outdoor range has a pistol range with 3 meter to 50 meter setup, 100 meter and 200 meter rifle ranges, and a skeet range. Ssmall club with a lot of space; dues are $40 per year for primary member and $1 per year for each additional immediate family member. Range is available all days for personal use. NRA membership is required for insurance reasons.

Montrose Rod and Gun Club 2226 Devon Court   Members have full use of skeet, trap, pistol and rifle ranges. Open for hunter sight-in beginning the weekend before the first big game rifle season and afternoons during all three seasons. Rifle range has paper targets out to 300 meters and metal gongs out to 500 meters.
Piedra Bowhunters PO Box 185, Monte Vista 719/852-2445 Bowhunting club with 42 outdoor targets; open May-September. Memberships $20 per year.
Red Feather Bowmen PO Box 855, Paonia 970/527-3338 Bowhunting club with a 10 lane indoor range and 2-3 outdoor 3D shoots a year. Open to the public on league nights Tuesday and Saturday. The membership for anytime shooting is $30.00 a year for family or individual. There is a kids archery class on Tuesdays and Saturdays for anyone interested in learning archery.

Unrestricted private club with both rifle and pistol ranges out to 500 meters. Bi-weekly organized events and public pre-season sight-in days. Memberships available at Valley Gun Service, Monte Vista.
San Juan Shooting Range 19878 Dave Wood Road, Montrose 970/249-4227 Open to the public. Outdoor handgun, 50-, 100- and 200-yard rifle ranges. Hunter education classes are available monthly, except in summer.
Stengel Gun Shop 2913 Highway 92, Hotchkiss 970/872-3748 Open to the public from daylight to dark. Skeet and trap ranges, pistol ranges up to 50 yards, silhouette range and 25-, 100-, 200- and 325-yard rifle ranges. Hunter education courses are available.
