John Singletary, Chair

John SingletaryJohn Singletary is a Pueblo, Colorado native and has been a life-long hunter and fisherman. Singletary currently owns and operates a farm and ranch operation in Pueblo County. He has 37 years of licensed real estate broker experience, specializing in commercial and farm/ranch real estate investment and development.  He is a past board member of the Lower Arkansas Valley Water Conservancy District and the Colorado Agricultural Commission. Singletary is a member of the Colorado State Farmers Union and is former Vice President of the Pueblo County Farmers Union.

William G. Kane, Vice Chair

William G. KaneBill Kane has over 30 years of experience in planning and design for mountain resort communities. Much of his career has been focused in Aspen, Colorado, where he has served as planning director, vice president of Aspen Skiing Company and principal of Design Workshop. Bill holds a Master's Degree in Regional Planning from the University of Pennsylvania.  His education, work history and life experiences make him an expert in private and public planning for all of the physical and programmatic elements which define mountain resort design.

Kenneth "Mark" Smith, Secretary

Representative: Public At-Large
Center, CO

Kenneth "Mark" SmithMark Smith, of Center, is manager of the Meadow Ranch where he was actively involved in preserving 5,000 acres of wetlands. He has over 30 years experience in farm and ranch management with 26 years in the San Luis Valley. Being a member of Ducks Unlimited, Rocky Mountain Elk, Rocky Mountain Bighorn Society, and the National Rifle Association confirms his enthusiasm for hunting. Mark has served on many local and state committees including the Habitat Partnership Program, the Habitat Stamp Committee, and the Public Education Advisory Council. In 2007 Mark was chosen as Landowner of the Year by the Colorado Parks and Wildlife.

Robert William Bray

Representative: Agriculture
Redvale, CO

Robert William BrayRobert William Bray is the owner and operator of Bray Ranches, a 20,000-acre working cattle and sheep ranch in the San Juan mountains that is managed for wildlife habitat and hunting for deer, elk and black bear. He is also a director of CoBank, a national cooperative bank that provides financial services to agribusiness and rural power and water providers.

A Colorado native, Bray graduated from Colorado State University and worked as a banker before returning to run the family ranch in 1979.

Bray is also a member of the Colorado Cattlemens' Association, the Colorado Farm Bureau, Colorado Woolgrowers, the Colorado Outfitters Association and the San Miguel Sage Grouse Working Group. He previously served on several Division of Wildlife committees and was a Wildlife Commissioner from 2005 to 2009.
